The talented guys over at Sipsmith have launched a new Chilli and Lime gin, and it looks like the perfect drink for the coming Spring / Summer! They have used a botanical synonymous to the most classic of G&Ts – the lime, and paired it with an array of fruity, complex chillies from around the world. That marriage of flavours and the subtle art of their distillation create a palate-cleansing finale, that makes for a G&T that’s hard to put down.
This is the first gin to be released as part of their Sipping Series and is now here an available in stock at Liquor Library so feel free to place an order for some while we give you some inspiration on what to do with it.
The aforementioned classic G&T is fantastic with this gin, the tickle of chilli and zest of lime, loving caressed by a partnership with a premium light tonic (check out our Double Dutch skinny tonic cans), make for a wonderful twist on a classic.
Indeed twists on classics seem to be this products speciality and in current times of saturation in the gin market that can be no bad thing. This liquid can substitute for rum in a Mojitio, for Vodka in a Mule, for London Dry Gin in a Negroni to give any of those cocktails a zingy, spicy boost. However the defining twist comes when it hops into tequila’s shoes to make a twist on a Margarita. The recipe below takes all of the well combined flavours Sipsmith have packed into this liquid and turns them up to 10 and if that wasn’t enough the addition of a salt rim, completes the drink with a fine savoury element, bring on summer!!

Sipsmith Chilli and Lime Margarita
