The Journey is an Irish whiskey from the Sailor’s Home brand. This blended Irish whiskey features Irish grain whiskey aged in virgin oak casks and finished in small ex-bourbon barrels, blended with Irish malt whiskey that’s been matured initially in bourbon casks before finishing in rum wood.
Generally Irish whiskey often complements moderate rum finishing and these Sailor’s Home whiskeys seem like very good value. Expect sweet toffee, vanilla and banana flavours and some oakspice.
