Produced in the famous Pays d’Auge region in the heart of Normandy, Boulard’s Grand Solage provides the perfect harmony between the product of nature and the artisanal labour of the distiller. Respecting the family’s traditions in producing Calvados since 1825, they use as many as 120 different apple varieties to produce the cider, which is then double-distilled over an open flame. It is then aged in casks, yielding a Calvados with depth and richness, that is sought-after by connoisseurs. Produced from a blend of Calvados varieties from the Pays d’Auge of which the age varies from 3 to 5 years, the Boulard Grand Solage is characterised by its apple fragrance and its amber colour.Colour: Shiny, golden copper colour.nFragrance: Mainly apple (so characteristic of the Pays d’Auge) with vanilla also discernible. Well-balanced.nBlend: Calvados varieties of 3 to 5 years of age.
